Mary’s Story

Mary Collins is the owner and Managing Director of Vibra-Train Hamilton.

Here’s her story:  from size 18 to a healthy size 12, without the never ending yoyo diets and it was fast!

One morning, back in about 2005, Mary Collins threw on another size 18 bulky pants, loose top and felt yuk!

Feeling unattractive, frumpy, unhealthy and basically very yuk Mary wanted to do something.

All the diets had failed, the working out at the gym with gorgeous bodies surrounding her just made her cringe.  But she knew she didn’t want to stay the way she was.

She read about vibration training in a magazine and thought it looked too good to be true.

Lose body fat and change shape just by vibrating?   Still, she was getting desperate so she got in the car and drove from Hamilton to Auckland to go to one of the sessions advertised.

Mary thought she knew what hard work was … well as she was about to discover vibration training isn’t a walk in the park, but if she was serious about losing weight she knew a walk in the park every now and then wasn’t going to do it anyway!

So she sweated… and she held on for those 60 seconds just like she was told to, and prayed that the world would stop shaking!

The feeling straight afterwards was one of exhilaration!   Her body felt alive; she could almost feel her blood zooming through her veins.

And she went back …. again and again and again…. and guess what …..?

Mary went from a size 18 and over 90 kilos to a size 14 in just 6 weeks!!

  • The 1st week Mary noticed she put on weight …. not to panic though – her body parts were firming
  • The 2nd week she noticed her biceps forming – something she hadn’t had before
  • The 3rd week Mary found she was eating less carbohydrates;  not because she wasn’t allowed to, but her body was readjusting itself and she didn’t crave them as much
  • The 4th week Mary Collins bought the vibration training licence and started offering the service to Hamiltonians with her personal trainer daughter Sara!

So for anyone thinking they have to be a super athlete, or have to be on a diet – you don’t – you just have to walk through the door!
